This workshop celebrates the intersection of art, nature, and sustainability. You'll learn to extract natural dyes from plants, flowers, and vegetables, then use them to create beautiful textiles. We'll also explore other botanical crafts such as making botanical prints, creating natural inks, pressing flowers, and crafting with foraged materials. Each session includes both a dyeing project and a complementary craft. You'll learn about color theory in natural dyes, mordants, and how to achieve different hues. The workshop emphasizes sustainable practices and using locally-sourced, seasonal materials.
